Setora works best when you set up the parts that control availability before you share your Booking Page. Follow this order once, then come back to a step whenever your shop or salon changes.
Setora Hub has a Getting Started checklist in the sidebar. It follows the same order as this guide and marks each step off as you finish it. Use the guides here when you want more detail on a step.
- Add your Location and Opening times.
- Add the Services Customers can book.
- Add Staff members and decide who can be booked online.
- Turn on online booking and check your Booking Page.
- Decide whether to take Deposits or use Booking Protection.
- Check Customer notifications.
- Create a test Customer and Booking.
1. Add your Location and Opening times
Start with the place where Customers visit you. Add the address and time zone, then set the weekly Opening times.
These details give Setora the outer boundaries for availability. Staff working times and Service durations sit inside them.
Check before moving on: Make sure the Location address and weekly Opening times match what Customers should see.
Full guide: Add a Location and set Opening times.
2. Add your Services
Add each Service with a clear Customer-facing name, price and duration, then assign it to the Location where you sell it.
Keep the first pass simple. Add the Services you sell most often, then return for less common options once the main booking journey works.
Full guide: Add a Service, price and duration.
3. Add Staff members and online bookability
Assign each Staff member to the Location where they work. Give them the Services they provide and the times they work, then turn on Bookable Online.
A Staff member needs the right Location, Services and working times before Customers can find suitable times with them.
Full guide: Set up Staff members and online bookability.
4. Turn on online booking and check your Booking Page
Set your Booking Page address, turn on online booking for the Location, then open the page as a Customer would. Choose a Service, Staff member, date and time before you share the link.
The Booking Page is the focused flow where a Customer chooses and confirms a Booking. It is separate from a Shop Website.
Do not rush this step: Keep the link private until the Services, Staff members and available times are correct.
Full guide: Turn on online booking and share your Booking Page.
5. Choose optional Deposits and payments
You can start taking Bookings without adding any payment option. If you want to take a Deposit online, connect Stripe first and then decide which Bookings need one.
Booking Protection is separate from a Deposit. A Deposit is paid before the visit. Booking Protection saves a card so you can charge a late-cancellation or no-show fee if one is due.
Full guides: Connect Stripe to Setora, Set up Deposits for online Bookings and Set up Booking Protection.
6. Check notifications
Review the confirmations, reminders and cancellation messages Customers receive. Reminders are set per Location, so check each one if you run more than a single site.
SMS reminders use credits. Check your available credits in Hub before relying on SMS for an important message.
7. Create your first Customer and Booking
Run one final check by creating a test Customer and Booking in the Calendar. Confirm the right Location, Service, Staff member, time and notification details appear.
If everything looks right, your setup is ready for a real Customer. You can now share the Booking Page link wherever Customers already find you, including your Shop Website and Google Business Profile.
Full guide: Create and manage a Booking.
If something does not look right
Work back through the setup in this order:
- Check the Location is active and its Opening times are correct.
- Check the Service duration, Location assignment and online booking setting.
- Check the Staff member's Services, working times and Bookable Online setting.
- Check that online booking is on for the Location and the Booking Page is using it.
If the available times still look wrong, open the chat and tell us which Location, Service, Staff member and date you checked. Those four details help us find the problem faster.
