Connect Stripe in Setora Hub when you want to take online Deposits or payments. Stripe handles the payment account and verification. Setora reads the connected status to decide which payment options you can switch on.

  1. Open Organisation > Integrations, or Organisation > Deposits & Payments.
  2. Choose Connect on the Stripe card.
  3. Complete Stripe's account and verification steps.
  4. Return to Hub and check the status reads Connected.
  5. Test the payment setting you intend to use.

1. Start the connection in Hub

Open Organisation > Integrations and find the Stripe card, or open Organisation > Deposits & Payments. Both surfaces control the same connection, so it does not matter which you use. Choose Connect.

Use the Stripe account for the business that runs the shop or salon. Whoever completes the connection needs access to that Stripe account and the information Stripe asks for.

2. Complete Stripe verification

Follow Stripe's hosted steps. Stripe may ask for business, identity and bank details before it can take payments or pay money out to you.

Setora cannot complete Stripe's verification for you. If Stripe asks for more information, finish that request in Stripe and come back to Hub afterwards.

3. Check the status in Hub

The Stripe card shows one of three states:

  • Connected means Stripe is ready and you can switch on payment options.
  • Setup incomplete means Stripe still needs something from you. Choose Continue set-up to go back and finish it.
  • No status means no Stripe account is connected yet.

Check before moving on: Do not treat the connection as ready until Hub shows Connected. A part-finished Stripe account can leave Customers at a payment step that cannot complete.

Once Stripe is connected you can set up Deposits and Booking Protection. Connecting Stripe does not set a Deposit amount or a fee policy on its own, and it does not change anything Customers see until you turn one of those on.

What happens next

Customers use the payment options you have enabled when they book online. Stripe may still ask an individual Customer to authenticate a payment, and it can hold funds while verification is outstanding.

Setora does not take a commission on your Bookings. Stripe's own card processing fees are separate and are charged by Stripe.

Disconnect Stripe safely

Before disconnecting, turn off any Deposit or Booking Protection setting that depends on Stripe. Otherwise Customers can be sent to a payment step that cannot complete.

Also check for Bookings that are still waiting on a payment or a saved card. Disconnecting can leave a late-cancellation or no-show fee unable to be charged.

Open the Stripe card in Hub, choose Disconnect and confirm only when you are ready. Reconnect the account you want before switching payment options back on.

If Stripe is not connected

  • Check that Stripe's onboarding was finished, not just started.
  • Look for a Continue set-up action on the Stripe card.
  • Return to Hub after finishing Stripe verification and reload the page.
  • Check you are in the right Setora account if you manage more than one.
  • Check the Stripe account belongs to the right business.
  • Check for a message asking for more information inside Stripe.

If Hub still shows the wrong status, open the chat and tell us the status shown in Hub and whether Stripe reports any outstanding verification step. Do not send card details or Stripe secret keys.
