Add each Service with the name Customers recognise, the price you charge and the time it takes. Then assign it to the Locations and Staff members who can provide it.
- Open Organisation > Services in Setora Hub.
- Create the Service and enter its name, duration and price.
- Assign it to the Location that sells it.
- Turn on Available for online booking if Customers should see it.
- Assign the Service to the right Staff members.
- Check the Service on the Booking Page.
1. Create the Service
Go to Organisation > Services and create a new Service. Enter a clear name, the Duration (minutes) and the Price (£). You can also add a description and a category to group Services on the Booking Page.
Use the name and duration you want Customers to see. A 30-minute Service and a 45-minute Service create different available times in the diary.
Check before moving on: The duration should cover everything the Staff member needs, including any setup or cleanup time. Setora uses this number to work out when the next Customer can be booked.
2. Assign the Service to a Location
A Service must be assigned to the Location where it is sold. You can do this from either side:
- From Organisation > Services, use Assign Service to Location on the Service row.
- From the Location's Services tab, use Assign Org-Wide Service.
If you have more than one Location, check each assignment separately. A Service assigned to one Location will not automatically appear at another, and each Location can hold its own price and duration for that Service.
3. Choose online bookability
While you assign the Service to the Location, turn on Available for online booking if Customers should be able to choose it on the Booking Page. Leave it off for Services that Staff only add in Hub. The Location's Services list shows a Bookable Online badge for each Service that Customers can choose.
A bookable Service still needs a Staff member who can provide it and who has working time at that Location. Set that up in the Staff member guide.
Check before moving on: Open the Location's Services tab and confirm the Service shows the right price, duration and Bookable Online badge.
4. Charge a different Deposit for one Service
Deposits are normally set once for the whole business. If a single Service needs a different rule, open it in Organisation > Services and set a Deposit override for that Service.
Use this for the few Services where the standard amount does not make sense, such as a long colour appointment. See Set up Deposits for online Bookings for the full picture.
What happens next
Open the Booking Page and choose the Location and Service. The Service price and duration should be clear before a Customer picks a time.
If the Service is missing, check its Location assignment and online booking setting first, then check the assigned Staff members.
Common availability mistakes
- The Service is not listed: It may not be assigned to the Booking Page's Location, or Available for online booking may be off.
- No times are available: Check the Location Opening times, Staff member schedule and Service duration together.
- The price is wrong: Check the price on the Location assignment as well as the Service itself, since a Location can hold its own price.
- The Service ends after closing: Shorten the duration, or extend the Opening times only if that matches how the Location really runs.
If the Service still behaves unexpectedly, open the chat and tell us its name, Location, price, duration and the date you tested.
