What Treatwell does well
We’re not going to pretend Treatwell is a bad product. Here’s where credit is due:
- Raw client acquisition power. 500,000 daily consumer searches, TV advertising, and brand recognition as Europe’s number one beauty marketplace. Genuine new client volume.
- 0% on repeat clients. If a client rebooks within 365 days, you pay no commission. For shops with high rebooking rates, the model can work.
- Brand credibility. John Lewis partnership, Visa UK Small Business Toolkit feature, Reserve with Google integration. The platform carries weight.
- Daily payouts. Revenue from bookings hits your account daily - better cash flow than weekly or monthly settlement.
Treatwell makes sense if you’re new and need raw client volume fast. But if you’ve built a loyal client base and want them to know your brand - not Treatwell’s - the economics and the branding work against you.

Treatwell has no self-service data export. You’ll need to contact their support team to request your data. Under GDPR, they must provide it. We’ll help you import everything into Setora.
£39/month per location is how we make money. We don’t take a cut of your bookings, your card payments, or your walk-ins. The price you see is the price you pay.
If a Treatwell marketplace client doesn’t rebook within 365 days, they reset to ‘new client’ status. Their next booking triggers the 35% commission again - even though they’re your existing client.
Since April 2025, if you cancel a new marketplace client’s booking on Treatwell, the 35% commission still applies. Previously this was waived. With Setora, cancellations never cost you anything.
Most shops are up and running within a day. Set up your services and staff, import your client list, and you’re live.
Your existing clients already know your shop. For new client discovery, the 35% commission you’ve been paying can fund your own marketing. A £15 haircut nets you just £9.75 after Treatwell’s cut - those margins add up.
Pricing and feature information for Treatwell was sourced from their public website at treatwell.co.uk/info/for-business, last verified February 2026. Commission rates from published partner T&Cs. Setora pricing excludes VAT. If anything has changed, let us know and we’ll update this page.
