Setora can import customers, services and bookings from CSV or Excel files. Staff records are not part of this import. Keep an untouched copy of every source file before you begin.
Prepare the source file
Export the data you need from the previous platform. Customers, services and bookings are separate data types, so keep them in separate files where possible.
Check that the first row contains clear column headings. Do not add formulas, merged cells or summary rows to the data you want to import.
Upload and review the mapping
Choose the data type, upload the file and review the suggested column mapping. A suggestion is not a final decision. Confirm that names, contact details, dates, services and other fields point to the right Setora fields before continuing.
Use the preview to spot shifted columns, unexpected date formats or blank required fields. Go back and correct the mapping if the preview is wrong.
Run the import and check errors
Start the import only after the preview looks right. Setora processes the file and records row-level errors rather than hiding failed rows.
Review any errors after the import. Correct the affected rows in a copy of your source file, then import those corrected rows rather than uploading successful records again.
Check before moving on: Compare a few imported records with the source file before your team relies on them.
